Cooktop compatibility: The flat bottom is designed for stable contact on many gas, electric, and glass cooktops. Confirm the requirements of your cooktop and make sure the base sits securely.
The Yosukata 11.8-inch black carbon steel wok is a compact, pre-seasoned wok for one or two portions. Its flat base and sloped sides support stir-frying, pan-frying, braising, and deep-frying in smaller kitchens.
- Heavy-duty black carbon steel for quick heat response
- Factory pre-seasoned to begin the natural patina
- Flat bottom for stable home-stovetop use
- Wooden handle for a comfortable grip
- Compact 11.8-inch size for smaller portions and easier storage
Before first use
Wash by hand, dry completely, and apply a very thin layer of cooking oil. Factory pre-seasoning is a starting layer; the natural patina continues developing with regular use.
Care instructions
- Do not soak or place in the dishwasher.
- Use hot water and a soft sponge; a small amount of mild dish soap can be used when needed.
- Dry immediately with a towel or over low heat.
- Apply a very thin layer of cooking oil before storage.
Color changes and an uneven dark patina are normal for carbon steel. Moisture can cause rust, but the surface can usually be cleaned and re-seasoned.
