How to season a WOK (basic oil method)

In this video, we offer a simple and easy way. Exclusively, enjoy the thermal view of the process. 

Repeat it a few more times if you want to get a thicker patina and make it non-stick.
  • Turn the stove's exhaust fan on high and/or open a window.
  • Place the wok on the stove over high heat
  • Pour some oil into the wok. Reduce the heat when the oil starts smoking
  • Using a paper towel, swirl the oil around the wok for about 5 to10 minutes
  • Turn off the heat and let the wok cool down for 1 to 2 minutes
  • Wipe the excess oil out with a paper towel
  • Wash the wok in warm water without detergent and wipe it dry with a paper towel
  • Your wok is now ready for use!
